Hi everyone!
I would like to thank you all for your enthusiasm and support in the weeks following Hawkins' Launch on 29th August 2008. It has been an absolute pleasure. I have met some wonderful people and some fantastic characters!!! It reminds me of my youth some 30 years ago when I was just 18 and venturing out into the world of Brighton as an Art student.
Those were heady years!

Perhaps you need to know a little about me...

I grew up just outside of Brighton and didn't feel the need to leave until I discovered New York & London! Art college was good old fashion bohemian decadence. To pay my way through college I was a dancer (didn't have grants & loans in those days) and my most favourite venues were the gay nightclubs of Brighton - they were superb (anyone remember Pink Coconut, Sherrys, Savannah...?) of course, I did London as well ~ you would wouldn't you!
I was a New Romantic at heart and loved to party. Had the most fantastic themed parties which I would love to introduce into Plymouth.
When I left College I worked in USA taught art & design then came back and did some modelling, exhibitions, furniture design in London. From there I went back to Brighton and did advertising & photography. I ended up as an interior designer for some 13 years in and around Sussex. In 1999 I changed direction and came into the licensing trade.

And now the thorny bit...

I would describe myself as a shy extrovert who is creative, enjoys the company of others and has a life motto of: "it's not over, until its over... so fill it up". My life has been full of adventure. And now I have started a new adventure with you. There are rumours flying about and as much as I would like to ignore them I feel the need that I must at least address some of them.
Q. Would I ever change the pub back to a 'straight' pub?
A. No... I would never do that. Why? because I am having such fun and it is so good to see others having fun too.
Q. There has been a lot of controversy
A. There are always going to be hiccups with any new venture it just takes time to iron   them out and to get the balance right... I will not get involved in any mud slinging and my staff are following this direction. Gossip, rumour and subversion serve no purpose - I am not in that business.... I am in the business of selling enjoyment ...

If you have any concerns or you would just like a chat please feel free to come and talk to me ~ I don't bite!
